One-Piece GPS Tracking & Monitoring!

The industry leading, 1-TRACK, single-piece GPS Tracking and Monitoring  platform is specifically designed to meet and/or exceed even the most intensive and demanding offender monitoring and tracking requirements.  This particular monitoring platform  is especially effective for circumstances when a criminal  justice agency requires the very best, most  precise, accurate, and reliable real time GPS tracking possible, along with reliable and effective enforcement of home detention curfews and/or highly flexible and configurable exclusion/forbidden zones.

The 1-TRACK GPS tracking and monitoring platform offers an extremely robust integration of GPS tracking, communications and mapping technologies, which enable us to efficiently track offenders virtually anywhere, at anytime, indoors and out, with configurable, flexible and variable levels of intensity.

This comprehensive and flexible system enables us to monitor an offenders' whereabouts remotely, whether at their residence or nearly any other location, as an independent deterrent/enforcement measure, or in combination with a home detention/curfew schedule.

OPTIONAL INTEGRATION of RF (Radio Frequency) CURFEW:

GPS for Home Confinement - Perception vs. Reality:

Despite the generalized public perception to the contrary, almost every offender based GPS ankle-bracelet monitor currently in use today, is not in fact, well suited to a restrictive, home confinement or curfew monitoring regimen.   The reason for this, is that, true GPS tracking depends upon a clear, unimpeded view to the sky in order to obtain signal data from at least three, but usually four or more satellites from the low earth orbiting GPS satellite constellation.  With this satellite data, the receiver (ankle-bracelet monitor) can use a precise trilateralization algorithm to pin-point it's own current global position (location).

Whenever the GPS receiver, (ankle-bracelet) is taken indoors, the bracelet either looses the ability to be tracked, or as most modern offender oriented systems do, the bracelet must switch the tracking technology being used, to a relatively less precise, LBS (or Location Based Service).  This is essentially the type of tracking found in most modern cell-phones.  Depending upon the particulars of the LBS technology being employed as well as, several other variables and environmental factors in regard to the location and communications network involved, the offender's GPS/LBS based, home confinement zone cannot ordinarily be narrowed to an area encompassing anything much less than, several hundred feet.

Effective Integration of Optional RF Presence Monitoring:

The 1-TRACK's unique, optional RF (Radio Frequency) Beacon Home Unit, adds the utilization of the very latest RF  Monitoring Technology to our platform, at no additional expense.  This complimentary additional option, allows for extremely precise verification of an offender's home confinement restrictions to the actual interior of the offender's residence or apartment and greatly extends the useful battery life of the bracelet between necessary charging cycles whenever the offender is at home.
.
The RF Beacon (Home Unit) continually scans the offender's residence for the offender's presence and/or absence directly from the signals emitted from the offender's GPS tracking ankle-bracelet.  When the beacon detects the bracelet's presence, the bracelet is then relegated to the role of an RF transmitter rather than it's usual role as a battery draining, GPS tracker and GSM Cellular Data Transmitter.
.
The Beacon then relays all of the necessary location monitoring and robust tamper detection information to our monitoring center.  This is accomplished via  the Beacon's built-in  GSM Cellular Data Transmitter.  As long as the offender's ankle-bracelet is within range of the Beacon, the Beacon relays information to us that the client is home.  If the client goes beyond the range of the Beacon, such as when he/she leaves the premises, the signal from the bracelet is not received and the monitoring center's computer is notified of the change.  At this point, the ankle-bracelet automatically and immediately resumes it's traditional role as a single-piece GPS tracker and GSM Cellular Data Transmitter.  The bracelet begins this process of communicating directly with the monitoring center via GSM Cellular Signal quite seamlessly and entirely in the background, unnoticed by the offender.

The 1-TRACK GPS Monitoring System - OVERVIEW:

Sunset Monitoring Services is the official, designated wholesale distributor, within the entire State of Utah for 3M Electronic Monitoring (formerly ElmoTech) and the 1-TRACK GPS Monitoring Platform, integrating GPS tracking, communications and mapping technologies, as well as (optional) radio frequency (RF) presence monitoring into a single, offender or agency paid platform.

The 1-TRACK combines several capabilities of a modern electronic monitoring system, and will report technical events or violations of Zone/Location Restrictions and Curfew Restrictions at highly flexible and variable levels of intensity:

~ COMPACT, ANKLE WORN DEVICE FOR EFFECTIVE TRACKING INDOORS AND OUT

The 1-TRACK is a reliable and effective single-piece offender tracking device, successfully supporting governmental and private corrections agencies world-wide in their offender supervision missions.

~ TIGHT AUDIT OF OFFENDERS FOR CONTINUOUS TRACKING AND HOME CURFEWS

Each offender is fitted with a 1-TRACK unit which continuously tracks them in real-time.  The unit stores and processes the tracking data and communicates with the monitoring center to report locations, program compliance and/or violations.  Alerts are pre-set to individual schedules and zone restrictions.  At an offender's home they may have an (optional) RF (Radio Frequency) Beacon - home unit.  All relevant details would then be communicated by the home unit when the offender is at their place of residence (and by the bracelet its-self, when the offender is away), thus saving on battery life and enabling a tighter control of the offender's home curfew zone.

~ ACTIVE or PASSIVE TRACKING FOR VARYING LEVELS OF SUPERVISION INTENSITY

1-TRACK units can be used in either Active or Passive configurations which differ in communication frequency and timing.  This greatly effects the supervision intensity.  Offenders can be seamlessly switched from one mode to the other within the monitoring center's system software.
